Bacteriology Swabs

The product comes with a white plastic shaft swab with rayon bud. The swab is mounted in the red bell-cap swab holder. In use, the shrouded Bell-Cap grips both the inside and outside of the transport tube to prevent accidental contact with potentially infectious parts of the swab or tube while ensuring containment of the specimen. The transport tube contains Cary Blair medium (alkaline) recommended for enteric pathogens. Both swab and transport tube are contained within an easy-to-open peel pouch. The complete product is packed within an additional sealed polythene bag so that the outside of the peel pouch is also kept sterile for handling with operating theatre areas.
