The OptiMAL-IT is a sensitive, simple to use dipstick assay that permits the detection of major species of human malaria (p.falciparum, p.vivax, p.malariae and p.ovale) and can distinguish between P.falciparum and P.vivax.
In addition OptiMAL-IT can be used to monitor the success of patient drug-therapy and detect for possible drug-resistant malaria.
