Potassium can be determined in the physician's office directly with the Reflotron® Plus or Reflotron® sprint systems using the Reflotron® Potassium test.
Samples can be heparinized venous plasma or serum.
Capillary or hemolytic sample material is unusable to determine potassium.
Other anticoagulants, especially anticoagulants containing potassium, may not to be used.
